This is the drink our family swears by to keep our immune system strong, it helps fight cough-cold and is especially helpful during flu season. In these covid times it has become a regular drink for us.
For making 500ml of this drink you would need the following ingredients:
750ml water
6-7 whole black pepper
1 and half inch of fresh ginger
1 and half inch of fresh turmeric (alternatively use turmeric powder 1 and half tsp)
1 and half inch of cinnamon stick
4 cloves
rock salt
Procedure: Take a mortar and pestle, add all the ingredients (except water) and crush it together. Nowadays you get powdered rock salt as well so you may add it later to the water if it is in the powdered form. Add the mixture into 750ml water and keeping boiling in medium heat until the water reduces and becomes about 500ml and dark in color.
Enjoy your immunity booster drink! You can consume it once or twice daily-Morning or Morning and Evening!
You may also add honey to it, some people may not like the taste of honey and rock salt together. However both are immensely beneficial for our body and has many medicinal properties- while honey is antiseptic and anti-bacterial in nature, rock salt boosts immunity, increases metabolism, induces sleep, reduces stress, helps with sinus and helps with weight management as well!
